@AstaMcCarthy Do you even know me? :)

(Hint: read the hashtags.)

@[email protected] I’m on 46.4 – so they likely removed that.

Is Google implemented in 47?

Ah, this is because Mozilla Location Services is dead (I guess it wasn’t AI enough). And now GNOME are considering Google – because, why not? Nothing wrong with Google, amirite?

Native support for ed25519/x25519 in the browser would be a huge step forward for in-browser/client-side cryptography.

Looks like Google is holding up our ability to use it in production.

(Firefox and Safari both have support enabled by default.)

The latest US arms sale to Israel alone was worth $20B. There have been over 100 sales since Oct 7.

That’s a lot of money, profit, and jobs.

How many American families make all or a portion of their living from the Israeli-American genocide of the Palestinian people?

@DodoTheDev @Lokjo @librewolf @Vivaldi Yeah, although I just read that they’re using the manipulative “Maybe later” pattern in at least one of their dialogs so that would be a good thing to fix for the future (I’m using Vivaldi too as my default browser.)

The opposite of “Yes” is “No”, not “Maybe later.”

@Bro666 @[email protected] @[email protected] Which would make perfect sense if I had said “Plasma forces you to use Firefox.” Would you like any other straw men to rile against?

[–] [email protected] -1 points 9 months ago (1 children)

@Aaron @[email protected] @[email protected] Yes, to non-private defaults. Let’s put it this way: if Firefox’s defaults respected your privacy, Mozilla would go bankrupt tomorrow.

@dajix @[email protected] @[email protected] It’s deceptive. They know exactly what they’re doing. That’s why they also ask if you haven’t used your browser for a while.

@[email protected] @[email protected] Very cool. Here’s hoping to see this in @gnome one day too.

PS. I’m sure you’re aware of it but, just in case, the window positions/dimensions appear to be lost on the restart. (An issue I have on GNOME too whenever it returns from suspend.)

@ManeraKai So if I get this right, you can use this to redirect links to other mastodon servers so that you end up on your own server where you can interact with it, right?

(Can’t wait to try it out, thanks.) :)
