By funding Israel and not Ukraine, they get to support two. Technically three of you're counting the Uyghurs, but that feels like more of a bipartisan effort.
I mean... If you've purchased anything from HP after Carly Fiorina, you pretty much deserve whatever horrible thing they do to you.

That said, you're right. Those are the codified rules, and because they are codified, the hotel has taken the necessary steps to protect themselves, while going out of their way to provide this to their customer. They could have just told them no, just like every other establishment does.
I don't mind paying them more. Make it a lucrative career. You know what... Why not $5mil/year. Attract the best and the brightest... Maybe.
But make the consequences count. Any hint of malfeasance... Any remote indication that they are betraying the will of the people, make them pay it all back and put them in jail. Like... We see that you took money from Comcast, then voted favorably on their bill. Jail.
