I think should be normal to expect that basic level of all-around competence from high school graduates.

Obviously high school systems have their own significant failures, though.

This article is really misleading. There is nothing explicit whatsoever with this in Starfield. You never even kiss. You just get the regular loading screen after sleeping except that your romantic partner appears to have woken up next to you, and you get a slightly better version of the Well Rested xp buff. It's not a "huge XP boost" over the normal Well Rested buff

I've got about 40 hours playing it so far. Really taking my time with side content. My biggest gripe is more with some of the skills you need to spend skill points on, some of them feel super mandatory and many of them are boring % increases. Also i wish there was more stuff to do in space. Lastly, surveying the last few things on a planet that ive missed has been very frustrating on a few occasions. haven't had an issue with running out of patience with loading screens really.

I think prefer my memes to be generally funny, instead of angry and political

As an example, I made a spreadsheet that queried WoW's auction house API and showed me items, their crafting components, prices and profits from crafting, that was then easily interactable and extendable in the GUI. Doing the same thing in python would have been great up until the point where I want to display the information... getting python to output a proper front end GUI is definitely a more time consuming exercise than using Excel's built in functionality

As a user of advanced excel features like Power Query and even its plethora of built in functions, LibreOffice Calc just doesn't hold up at all. It lacks all beyond the most basic table features

Maybe this puts me in the "cringy weeb" category but I just put the language to Japanese and use English subtitles. Most Japanese games I've played really suffer from poor dialogue localization, and this helps. Except for Exoprimal, the English voice acting and dialogue was fucking great in that game

I 100%d this game, out of some kind of angry obsession and curiosity rather than excitement, and instead of feeling satisfied with myself, I felt relief that the frustration was over and I could leave that danm apartment and never return.

Totally agree with point #1. I was a staunch supporter of Fortnite when it was a zombie defense base building game. Then everybody latched on to the battle royale and I hated it, and every battle royale that hopped on the bandwagon afterwards.

Spend 20-30 minutes collecting loot just to win or lose it all in a sudden burst of conflict... shit gives me hypertension

I really gave the base building a good try, but it did just feel tedious and misplaced. I wish they would expand on npc interactions and the language learning system instead

Hello all. Like many new users, I am a reddit refugee. Please forgive me if this isn’t the best community for my question; I am still learning my way around here.

I am used to google searching “[THING] site:reddit.com” when I want to see the opinions of real people on a topic rather than the flood of clickbait articles you get nowadays with Google.

What is the best way to execute this type of search within the Fediverse rather than Reddit?
