So sounds to me like... reddit's looking to compete with say patreon etc... IE allow people to post content either early to payers, or release some things exclusively to payers.

Obviously the value of that will depend on how big of a cut reddit goes after, and assuming they don't try and move existing participant focused subreddits to it.

You know what would actually amuse me if angels get halos, or wings...

based on the human population. and the fact that very few concepts assume the angel population as greater than the human population... Certainly nowhere near the population of every human that has ever existed...

and if you assume it as "every time you do a good deed". We gotta some angels with thousands of halo's and wings.

Much as I kind of wish the US would be overtaken by a european nation or Canada. Unfortunately it's the problem of how military progress has happened since WW2. AKA the US military is scaled up enough to basically make the USA vs "Every nation of the world suddenly decided to gang up and attack the US at the same time"... is an even match.

Which in and of itself is terrifying to me, that we let that happen. I mean realistically what is more likely to happen in history... 1 crazy leader goes tyranical.... many groups need to get together to stop it. Or... every nation in the world goes insane at the same time, one powerful nation that still holds it's sanity needs to snap them all out of it.

In short IMO a long time ago the world should have done a "OK look, it's not good for one guy to be too much stronger than everyone else. We need to start a pact where, say the US starts trading it's weapons to 10 or more countries... so that theoretically a 5 vs 1... should be a guaranteed victory for the 5.

I'm sure Vance is a man of principles. Turning his back on the environment would be extreme, almost like falling in line behind someone you said is America's Hitler.

I don't think the guy's making the case that Musk isn't pro nazi... but instead making the case that we are unjustly anti-nazi. Because hitler was a long time ago, far away, and apparently the bad stuff about him is propoganda.

Which, I also say.. fuck that guy, hitler could fade away into the barely noteworthy tyrants of the past, like Ghengis Khan or numerous others have... if people would stop resurecting his ideas.

I mean I'd say it's good for hope of getting rid of the asshole. Democrats are terrible at getting rid of incumbants even when they are awful.

Was going to say I expected NYC to be pretty left wing as well so, Adams should be a quick easy one to get rid of... but then remembered Juliani was stupidly well loved for such a long time.

I'm just shy of 40... My ex had what's now my son when I was 21. My son is 18 so... guess I'm kind of close to there... though my son has my level of anti-socialness so... I dont really see being a grandparent in the near future.

Somehow I half expect to find out space X through some crazy means accidentally stumbled into time and interdimensional travel. He will bring in another dimensions hitler, argue it's a good guy... Trump will explain that this one's ok because in his dimension none of the people he killed were called jews, so he's ok, Hitler will meet with Nyetnyahu, the 2 will quickly become friends and the republicans will declare opposing alt-hitler as anti-semetic.

Tim Apple was at trumps inaugeration... Can't say this is likely to be a Based decision, as apple just moving slower than everyone else.

trump officially signed the executive order for it on his way to the superbowl.

I was thinking exactly the same thing... maybe with the exception of the 30% that actually believed his bullshit enough to vote for him... I've been bracing for the huge inflation bolster since he was elected...

Hell trump and musk have kind of warned us, inflation is going to get worse (and lied about it being so it can get better... ignoring the general fact that inflation is a one way street, you can't fix it... you can only slow it down, and/or speed up wages to catch up to it)

but I do think they’ll choose to comply here rather than trigger more wars with the court system.

I don't know, there's an added benefit to "wars" with the court system. IE you get it to the supreme court, then you have precidence. it's a one time chore, to kneecap all courts forever.
