Most have an outro/intro as well when coming back from ad break. Should be able to analyze the audio for those segments with some fair bit of confidence and place cuts.
Obviously won't work on the fly but it could be done. I just skip the ads instead, but who knows if it will be a Black Mirror style future where you have to hear the ads.
No, we don't need more bots spaming. It should be a client option instead.
It is annoying that the youtube algorithm give higher priority to longer videos, above 10 min or so. Which means that quite a few content creators will stretch out something that would take 3 min to explain into a 10+ min video.
I like to shit on Microsoft as much as the next guy, but it is really weird what they got fined for compared to what Google and Apple are doing now. Ideally they should all be forced to stop.
The chromecast protocol is not open, it is just built into android so available to all apps (for now....) And only chrome on PC supports it (surprise!)
