No Rushia is kinda sad but understandable.

I still didn’t find the time to consistently play it but I’m glad development keeps progressing, Kay Yu & co really are saints for doing all of this for free.

Your effort did definitely make a difference, whether it's enough of a difference to justify it is up to you.

In the end, if you'd rather invest your time in stuff that brings more gratification that's a completely valid and healthy choice, time is limited and you should do what you like the most with it. Hopefully as Reddit keeps screwing up more and more, it will start to be more lively here and posting stuff will feel more rewarding too.

VRChat events are usually fun, looking forward to this one!

Well, looking at the last month we have 249 users and 3 posters (5 if we count people who only posted once), so the rule kind of applies.

I can see it’s disheartening indeed (and I wish I could help more, but I’m not on Xitter and don’t have much time even to watch stuff so I would realistically just spam Jshay clips lol), but unfortunately it’s hard to move a community as big as r/hololive (especially considering they have the huge advantage of talents seldom posting there). Maybe with time (and more people getting tired of Reddit) the situation will get better and there will be more posters, in the meantime I can guarantee I appreciate your effort and I’m sure others do too.

Sure Bettel, that’s not you, sure…

Do you have proof that this is fiction? I don’t think so. There’s no proof that it isn’t either, sure, but this sub is mainly just for laughs and the story doesn’t require being true for it to be funny.

Coming into threads and posting stuff like that is like going into malls at Christmas just to tell kids that santa isn’t real. (Or worse, since you don’t even know if you’re right in this case).

Thought it might be interesting for someone since she did a karaoke a week ago and sounded… familiar, you know.

That guy’s criminally underrated, their animations are great and I only found out about them because of your posts on here, hopefully they get blessed by the algorithm soon!

Assuming she’s telling the truth, this is pretty good imo: she said she got diagnosed with PTSD so I guess she’s getting psychiatric help, which she absolutely needed from what we know, and she seems to have realized that acting on a whim like she did in her final days at Hololive is something she should get rid of if she doesn’t want to dig herself into an even deeper hole.

Hopefully she’ll sort out her issues and manage to go back to streaming/singing, she’s got talent and it’s a pity she had to ruin everything for lack of self-control.

So they have a sort-of-automated system for studio reservations, huh. Well, makes sense with 50+ JP-based talents I guess.

(Also, welcome back!)

So in the end we’ll never know what was true and what was false.

Eh, that’s a pity but it’s not like it bothers me that much, I’ve laughed at some Rushia clips and still listen to some Mafumafu songs, but they’re not really people I actively follow so whatever. I wish both of them good luck for future relationships, I guess.

Couldn’t fit the name outside this time, but we got more stuff on the left so it’s all good (I also did a Koronesuki before the expansion, but that was a bit too far away to get in the screenshot lol).

Once again, thanks to everyone who contributed!

New posting is restricted and the only posts from the past two months are from their official account.

Took them long enough to realize how "negligible" the impact has been on the english community.

Setlist from the comments (if I linked it correctly)

So I was skimming again through the comments of a thread, and saw a comment with 42 upvotes, including mine, and no downvotes, as “removed by a mod”. I was curious about which comment was it and the reason, but looking at the modlog, the only action shown against that account is apparently a mod banning it from the site with reason “rape jokes are not tolerated here”. Looking at the account, its whole comment history has been nuked.

Now, I have numerous questions:

-Can mods ban people from the whole site? I thought only admins could do that?

-What does “banning from site” actually mean? Comments were deleted from every instance, does an admin (or mod) from one instance have such “power” over the others?

-I’m pretty sure I did NOT upvote a rape joke, is it really correct to nuke the entire comment history of an account just because of one violation? I’m afraid that could lead to a huge loss of content as the site progresses. Especially if simple mods can do that.

I can link to the specific account/comment if I get authorization, not sure if that’s allowed.

I noticed removed comment behavior is particularly weird, on lemmy.world exclusively (so I don’t think it’s software-related?).

As opposed to other instances, where they show up as “removed”, here they don’t show up at all. If it’s a parent comment you can’t see it or any of the replies, and if it’s a reply the parent comment shows with “(X) more replies” under it, which upon clicking just loads infinitely.

Is this intended behavior? It seems limiting (and pointless to have links in the lodmog since they don’t work and you can’t see the context anyway).

Hayao Miyazaki’s The Boy and the Heron will premiere in Colombia on January 25. Ahead of that debut, the film is getting an unplanned and likely unappreciated marketing push, as a local woman has gone viral for convincing major media outlets that she drew around 25,000 frames for the film’s production.
