As the Senate is now proposing amendments for the National Defense Authorization Act of 2023, Senator Reed of RI proposed SA 636 be added. This makes the Undetectable Firearms Act of 1988 permanent, which should not be legislated into a "military spending" act. This effectively removes the 10 year sunset clause that the bill was originally passed with.
