She mentions people bringing up the Holocaust, gets some moral outrage going, and says "Do not use other genocides to describe this one." Then some people start laughing, she looks around angrily, and you can see it dawn on her what she just said, in real time

My parents got an adapter from Amazon that allows them to attach an actual standard CO2 tank, purchased at a local gas company, to the soda machine, which they get refilled every so often. The gas company also refills used SodaStream canisters, so they also get those recharged to use as backups when the standard tank runs low.

I had to look at the article to confirm that wasn't a bit. Holy fuck how is people destroying fossil fuel infrastructure such a terrifying prospect that you don't want to live to see it?

I think if you click outside of that pop-up it disappears completely, which as you say is totally inconsistent with everything else in Windows, but it is at least possible to get away from it with the mouse.

It would be hilarious if the thing about us not being tankies was an intentional troll...but this cracker was still butthurt about being called a cracker and couldn't help complaining about it

The incident in question occurred when someone (a programming.dev admin, specifically), whose client hides the pronouns, used 'they' to refer to a user with she/her pronouns.

He just died? Wow. I didn’t know that. You are telling me now for the first time. He led an amazing life. What else can you say. Whether you agreed or not, he was an amazing man who led an amazing life. I am actually sad to hear that. I am sad to hear that.

I warned you. I fucking warned you.
