Because if you tell a conservative this line they're way more likely to do it.

I'm concerned this is more poignant in 10+ years than now as our lives increasingly depend on the algorithms favor.

You're correct, so sorry! One word change and that became I-Had-A-Stroke material.

One of these felons is electable, as she has only done* what a bunch of congress has. She'll fit right in!

Edit: Ducking Autocorrect. Sorry for the confusion.

Do you hear the people sing...

Just impressed no one linked OP the porn he seeks yet!

Can you please just use the word Vulnerability instead?

I always hated the "convenient helplessness" of these scenes.

Approval Voting seems to just dilute your vote the more candidates you vote for. Candidates will tell people people to only place one vote. What a silly system.

You're right, best deliberate about which one is best instead.

Experimentation? New Zealand, Ireland and Australia already stage elections using forms of RCV.

Not really funny until you see the guy with the coffee, which is perfectly placed at the last place most people will look.

Yup, and the only way out of that is Ranked Choice Voting.

Go volunteer for your local RCV group, California's is here: https://www.calrcv.org/

First, I think Ernest has done a fantastic job and I've been rooting for him this whole time. But it's becoming clear it's all too much for him without the support of a larger team.

Over the last several months there have been multiple posts about the spam problems on this instance, both here and on other instances. We've been fortunate so far they haven't simply defederated us.

Now when I go to the Hot page it's 12 hours out of date.

It's with a heavy heart I looked into a kbin fork mentioned in another thread in this magazine: Mbin.

GitHub: https://github.com/MbinOrg/mbin

Instance list: https://fedidb.org/software/mbin

The largest instance: https://fedia.io/

I'll miss you Kbin. It's been good. Thanks Ernest!

It's not the purpose of this post to support any particular instance. Feel free to mention your own alternatives below.

Though some of you might already be familiar with the Cosmere, to those who aren't I think this would be a fantastic introduction, if you like fantasy.

To give you an idea of the type of book: in the post script the author mentions that it's heavily inspired by the Princess Bride, but what if instead of assuming Wesley dead she had gone to find him?

It's also amazing is because it's from Hoid's perspective, also known as the aptly named Wit. Meaning it's really funny.

There's a lot of fantasy books I've read and loved, from short stories to epics, but I'll now compare them all to Tress.

The other thread about going on the swings as an adult reminded me of a story I want to share.

Every area has "that guy" that almost everyone seems to know. In Pacific Beach his name is Slomo: https://youtu.be/Xn87-mcnoVc?si=W8vAGhOUYrS82fJo

If you don't want to watch the video the long story short is doctor was depressed, found joy in roller blading and quit his job. The real interesting part and why I'm posting is this:

He explains how the forces of acceleration in his inner ear produce a feeling of expansiveness and joy.

Always thought this was the most interesting fact. So go out and enjoy your favorite motion sport, whether it's a biking, skiing, roller blading or swinging!
