It was an expressway. There were no lights other than cars. You're not wrong, had a human sprinted at 20mph across the expressway in the dark, I'd have hit them, too. That being said, you're not supposed to swerve and I had less than a second to react from when I saw it. It was getting hit and there was nothing I could've done.

I am neither blaming you nor critiquing your actions. In fact I agree that we should not swerve. I was just making an observation that driving slightly slower in low visibility might help by giving you more time to notice an obstruction and brake while provide also providing more time for the obstruction to react and clear the road. At least very least, people might slow down enough so that the crash is no longer fatal to the person or animal being crashed into

Nobody is asking you to go at 35 mph. But going 60 mph instead of 80 mph means that your stopping distance will be nearly half and you will have almost twice the amount of time to react.

Maybe drive a little slower at night. If you can't spot and react to animals on your path, you won't able to react when it's a human

I have the b5dd model (with the 5600h processor) and linux support is good. Just find out what is the make and model of the wifi card. B55D came with a mediatek card which had problems with older kernels.

Build quality is average at best and it is fairly heavy but when you are going for a budget laptop, you have to sacrifice something. As another commenter said, if you are not gaming or video editing, you could go for different model with a smaller footprint, and better build.

We might not see the price cut because of the lack of competition. Just see how the 7800X3D prices shot up since the zen 5 and arrow lake launches.

Considering the X3D chips are clocked higher this gen, these numbers seem actually possible. I am just afraid that after the disastrous results for arrow Lake, we are going to see highly marked up prices.

This is what heresy looks like to the Orks

It seemed more like a friendly suggestion than any attempt at gatekeeping

What sort of battery life are you people seeing from Asahi Linux nowadays when compared to Mac OS? The GPU drivers have matured greatly over the last year so I expect battery life to have improved

Guess the mortal races should be glad that he went into the warp.

I would think that machine learning algorithms were already in use for targeted advertising from well before the AI boom.

The problem isn't the potential usefulness of AI, it is the fact that everything related to AI is being massively overvalued resulting in a 'AI bubble'. It is similar to the dot.com bubble. Doesn't mean AI will disappear when the bubble burst, just that the valur of software and services with AI in them will normalize (like how the internet didn't disappear with the dot.com crash, just the valuation of software and services using the internet came back to what could be considered normal)
