i use nordzy-hyprcursor via the hyprcursor application

i was so convinced that i had to do something hacky cause its wayland that i didnt even consider that the solution could be an already implemented feature. thank you very much

Oh i assumed it was like most modern systems that a short press sends a shutdown command and a long press just cuts power

Well if it's a software issue you can just hold it down to force cut power.
