While there are multiple points i'd disagree to, im tired of this convo.

However is it really advertising if it's so universal that you don't even know it's a brand? Like at this point people don't even recognise pop sockets as a brand but rather a type of product. Like when i say noodles there are many producers.

Anyway, let's just agree to disagree

  1. No i haven't
  2. No i haven't
  3. No i haven't
  4. No im not, i always buy clothes, from whatever is the first brand i happend to grab, that also suits me. In fact i absolutely despise brand logos on anything i own. Hell i cover up my phones logo with a popsocket or similar.

To think everyone is as vulnerable to ads as some random dude says, or as a handful of studies with like 1000 people show is the ignorant thing here. Not everyone is the same. And if i think about all the comments i have seen under videos that talked about exactly that, then ads seem to even have a negative effect when presented to younger generations, gen z for example.

Also you can just avoid ads. Click no on every optional setting on websites etc., use an ad-blocker, Sponsorblock for YouTube. When outside pit your headphones in/on and listen to your favourite music, and don't look anywhere you are not going. Ads are only everywhere if you let them be

I have yet to buy a thing that i randomly saw in store. I go to the store cause i need something and i leave with what i needed, and only that.

I can remember exactly one ad from when i was like 7. If i see an ad i just zone out. And everything i buy is because i researched it, it's the only thing of that type in store, or i tested it and decided i liked it.

I don't think the majority of people are as vulnerable to ads as you think

Well this post was only about water

Hmm i think that would actually be better as the water where basically non existent caus it's so spread out. It would just instantly evaporate no?

Like the title says i need an os for a x86 tablet.

I already tested various different linux distros, (mint, ubuntu, debian etc.) with various de's (gnome, xfce, plasma, plasma mobile) but nothing really suits a tablet. I tried android x86 but that wouldn't install.

Basically my problem is that apps etc. Are made with mouse and keyboard in mind making me unable to for example easily scroll as i have to drag the scroll bar manually.

Anyone got ANY recommendation? The default os was mint btw.

Edit: solved i just used a paid app that gives you 3 free downloads

Hey, so I have some downloads on Amazon Prime that I want to remove the DRM from, however I only find deleted posts on Reddit or some sketchy programs/sites I really don't trust. Does any of you guys know how to remove the DRM?

I'm willing to do a lot of work if I have to as long as it's free.

Also, if it is an application that does it, I'd prefer FOSS even if it's inferior.

Maybe I can reward the first person with a solution with some movie of choice😉

Specifically i want that the baterry icon in my status bar doesn't change color when the baterry saver is on.

I have a rooted phone with magisk and lsposed if that helps.

(My reason for that is that the color doesn't fit with my theming but i need the battery saver to keep my phone from dying throughout the day)

Doese anybody have any app recommendations for a rooted phone with lineageOS?

Things like: A proper file explorer A terminal if possible And apps in general that you can't use without root (i.e. power saver tuner(although it's possible without root))

Pretty much all graphical apps that dont have thier own theming option (like firefox) are always just the white background default theme. No matter wether it's qt or gtk. Wich files would i need to edit to change that? Searching on the internet only told me that i should change an environment variable bit doing so changed nothing even though i have the themes installed

dotfiles

dont mind that cava is white... i forgot to change that

WM: i3

Bar: Polybar

Compositor: Picom

Terminal: Konsole

Applauncher: Krunner

Editor: Neovim with Nvchad with a custom(albeit messy) theme
