Yes! There are definitely NO private interest groups in the US! Everything is 100% voters choice. I'd also like to add the US system is not in anyway pay to play. The only reason truly grass root candidates don't get elected to major positions is that the American people prefer and trust corporate backed politicians, as they are the ones that will lead us to a more productive feature!

I bought a android tv device (NVIDIA shield) and just assumed it was open source like android, turns out it's not and they force ads on the home screen, if you jump though a ton of hoops to roll back some updates, you can turn them off, but it will re-enable them after a while. does not feel like a device I own. Even NVIDIA cannot turn off the google ads on the NVIDIA shield. you can add other launchers but they don't make it easy and they regularly get removed as the default launcher.

At this point I'm just considering just making a mini PC with linux https://plasma-bigscreen.org/ that will stay connected to my TV. OSMC is another option; however, it does not work well with DRMed content, so I gave up on that as well; even though it's an awesome project. Some android TV boxes are compatible with Lineage OS so that might be another option.

A large part of the old Testament is about the Jewish people and how they are God's chosen people. In the new testament Jesus made it (to the Christian perspective) so everyone gets to be in that chosen club. The crucifix is a roman thing even though the angy mob was Jewish, Jesus was also Jewish, many followers of Jesus were Jews etc. Also some prophecies in the book of revelations (last book in the bible) but I don't remember much off hand.

Add in the horrors of the Holocaust and its hard for people with a simplistic good or bad/binary worldview to even understand other perspectives.

Most of the people that agree with Israel I've come across are very religious and can't comprehend that they are wrong because they are on the side of the good guys in the bible. It doesn't matter if you show them sources. They have spent their whole life closing their eyes to anything that threatens their worldview

Yeah that won't work. Any country that lets their companies use whatever data will flat out have better models. Potentially meaning grater economic output of the whole country if ai is as big as i think. Unfortunate but i don't see an alternative yet unless they make it so you can use amy data but models have to be free

In the US I don't trust the phone and big tech companies to not sell my data, i dont trust the automobile industry to not lobby aganst good public transportation, and i don't trust mega pharma to not SKU the test results when they could can away with it. I dont trust any of the above to not Astroturf, buy off ftc officials or anything if they are in a position to get away with it. Perhaps im just bitter because i was prescribed an absurd amount of opioids as a 16 year old. They were pushed so hard they told us it was safe they blantently lie

While I'm all for vaccination including covid vaccines, we would not have the distrust towards the mega pharmaceutical companies if they were not so untrustworthy. They sold their trust for profits a long time ago.

Exactly, either I watch it free or not at all. No way in hell I'm paying absurd pay per view prices. I just don't care enough about any content (outside of educational content) to pay that much.

Anti piracy groups argue that 1 download/stream = -1 sale which is patently false.

What are your main dislikes of kde?

Before ecigs were popular teenagers would get cought smoking real cigarettes far more often.

It's unfortunate how thoroughly the tobacco lobby has convinced the west that ecigs should be regulated the same as analog cigarettes. It's still better to just inhale air over an ecig but even salt nicotine ecigs are many many times safer than traditional tobacco, and nicotine isolate is much less additive, and has done more to get people to entirely quit than any anti tobacco campaign.

Are you aware they had a backer vote on the direction of the game? It was on if they were going to have stretch goals after the original KS pitch. 94% of the votes went to changing the game into something bigger (more features added). I understand it sucks for people that wanted the smaller more realistic game but they lost the vote. And again you can sell your ship for more than you paid, sometimes way way more. Should they have ignored the vote that was that overwhelming?
