No, I mean the Naomi Klein that voices pro-palestinian opinions in the book. Here's a highly israel-critical interview.

This is what I mean. Blind dogma and hatred will make you turn against those who should be your allies.

The difference between journalism and propaganda to you is whether a western source is saying it or a country which is no longer controlled by the western financial apparatus

What makes you think this?

I haven't been trained to question, that's true. I learned. You only learned to be scared apparently, and you're currently in training to dismiss facts altogether. I suggest you drop out of that curriculum

Oh I do. But I want journalists to tell me about it, not propaganda outlets. This article is written to make me angry, not to emancipate or enlighten me. It wants to manipulate me.

If I may recommend a book, Doppelganger by Naomi Klein. It's about exactly the difference between

  1. investigative journalists that do their due diligence to uncover actual conspiracies
  2. conspiracy nutjobs that just believe and share every conspiracy they hear, and ironically, often end up serving oligarchs by doing so.

If anger becomes more important than truth, we become tools in the hands of the powerful. Choose truth

This is just right wing and conspiracy theorist bs. I'm not saying there is no censorship but this is misinformation designed to confuse people, sow distrust, and make them susceptible to more misinformation so they can be influenced politically.

This kind of shit really took off in 2020 and if you're still falling for it, please take your life back in control. If we're gonna criticize the West, let's take a fact-based approach.

If you watch the video it becomes even morr apparent it was intentional. Death may not have been intentional but keeping him in was.

I don't recommend watching the video btw. Still haunts me

bcrypt... with how many iterations? seems like an important detail

And you should be glad it did. Germans didnt get so lucky.

r/ich_iel and [email protected] STILL think it's funny not to use english words and instead translate them literally so it sounds like complete nonsense. ("Zangendeutsch") This joke got old like 10 years ago but if you use even a single english word you will still be greeted with "Sprich Deutsch du Hurensohn" which means speak German you son of a bitch.

I just want good memes in my own language, but that community is insufferable.

/rant, sorry

not fellow left-wingers - one way many people get pushed right is by watching right wing content that just shows lefties acting like idiots and then goes "omg look SJWs so dumb". So people get turned off from feminism or progressivism before they have a chance to actually engage with it. Then, there's only one direction to go when frustration sets in - right.

Just look at the amount of ragebait on (conventional) social media showing feminists or queer activists or woke people acting cringe. It's the first step of the right-wing pipeline.

After years of suspecting ADHD (and two decades of struggling), I decided that maybe I have ADHD. While I wait for an answer from the psychologists, I decided to take an online ADHD self-diagnosis questionnaire out of curiosity.

I found myself mousing over and highlighting the text in one of the questions over and over, thinking about something my girlfriend told me the other day, struggling to actually read the question. When I finally read the question, it was:

How often are you easily distracted by external stimuli, like something in your environment or unrelated thoughts?

Safe to say I started laughing out loud. Starting to feel pretty certain that I'm one of you :P

(I am still mid questionnaire)
