I used to love this game even though I was terrible at it.

It would be perfect now, though, to emulate the arcade version and enjoy without going through a million quarters.

It is such a fun game! It really does remind me of the oldschool wrestling games. They do a great job with making the wrestlers feel unique and exactly like they act on TV (Orange Cassidy, for example, can fight a whole match worth his hands in his pockets). There are a bunch of fun Easter eggs that I won't spoil for you.

It is noticeable, though, that they didn't have the resources to devote to the create a character feature. However, this is something that would naturally be updated as time goes by.

Tag team matches are a bit fiddly because you can't tell your partner to come tag (as far as I know), and sometimes you'll go to tag him but he'll come into the ring instead. But the game doesn't take itself too seriously, so these are minor issues.

All of the mini games are a blast except for one (in my opinion) and they just add a bit of a distraction that spices things up. If you don't like them, you don't need to play them, there is no forcing the player one way or the other.

Do comments count? You're welcome.

For those of us who pre-ordered, access to AEW Fight Forever is available a day early. I'm playing it now!

I don't tend to get too wrapped up in the next big thing, but the recent updates coming from Starfield developers have really piqued my interest. I'm hoping that it manages to achieve what they are intending with the game - it looks really ambitious!

Hahaha, I had written Centrum and replaced it with what was in the article title. I flipflopped!

I remember going, as a highschool student, to a university open house and watching the students in the computer lab playing some tank game (bz?) on Silicon Graphics workstations with the biggest CRT monitors I had ever seen. Good old days!

I was (un)lucky enough to have two Xbox controllers get stick drift within a couple weeks of each other. I'm not mad - I played the heck out of these things. I replaced one of them with a nice "velocity green" controller and, for the second, found an incredible deal on Amazon for the 8BitDo Ultimate.

It's a wired controller, which worried me because I don't sit terribly close to my TV, but the cable is almost 10 feet long.

The quality is really nice. It's noticeably slightly smaller than the original controller, but it feels good. There is an app to customize everything about it, but I haven't felt it necessary to play with it yet.

I'd be interested if anybody has experience with this or other third party controllers, especially to see how they hold up over time (and if they get such bad stick drift!).

I might try that. I'm not terribly happy with the app that I'm using, but maybe I'm just not used to it.

I'm really late to the party with this game, considering it was released in 2015! I recently saw it on Xbox store for $6, including all sorts of DLC, and the reviews looked fantastic, so I jumped on it.

I just sat down to play it today and I'd say that I got my $6 worth in the first 20 minutes. It was like playing Uncharted on my old PS, but with more action. So far the graphics are shockingly good - I cannot believe it is so old.

I see that there is some sort of card system, and I got a ton of cards with the DLC/extras, but at this point I have zero clue what they do.

Hopefully I'll have time through the week to play a bit more. Better late than never!

Those iMacs were incredibly cool back in the day. I never used one, but always thought they were awesome.

I have a rule that I will never pre-order a game, since I've seen people get stung before (I'm looking at you, Anthem). But I just pre-ordered AEW Fight Forever using the Microsoft reward points that I've been accumulating for a while, so I haven't even put a penny of my own money into it.

I'm looking forward to the game's release.
