Spoiler Alert. A Fascist won the election and a fascist will win the next one.

When anyone tells you violence isn't the answer, they are either ignorant non-thinkers or they are trying to manipulate you. Throughout the history of the world, violence has always been the answer. This place sucks.

The passport thing was no longer the case when I went there in 2016ish. It used to be you could go about 15 miles into Mexico without a passport but when I last went in 2016, you had to have one just to cross in to Mexico, and they were inspecting the heck out of it, and visa was required to go more than a certain distance or stay. A lot of poor Americans live south of the border in San Diego area because it's all they can afford. Mexico was pissed at Trump and changed the rules.

I like your last point on the tax thing, that's so BS the way that money isn't equal per student. It should be state wide equal property tax and state-wide equal per student.

Good advice. If you struggle with dating like me, the last thing you want to do is take advice from someone who didn't struggle with dating and just kind of fell into a relationship. College is the absolutely best time to meet someone, you'll never be around as many young single available partners as in college. I figured that out way too late. Didn't have my first long term relationship until I was 38. I got super lucky, partner was also raised with the same mindset of focus on yourself/your career, etc.

I have experience with alcoholics in the family and haven't drank more than a handful of drinks in the last 5 years, because I don't want to go down that road, but the things you need to ask yourself are: Are you prepared to have her never changed and eventually drink herself to death? Are you prepared for her behavior to get even worse over the years towards you and herself? Are you prepared for the drinking associated health complications, she won't be able to function as an adult for her last 5-10 years. Are you prepared to deal with potential DUIs, job losses, and other alcohol related complications? Are you prepared to give up your life to deal with her situation?

If the answer is no, you need to think about your future with her. You can't help her through this one.

If you don't want all the candy stolen, hand it out a piece at a time. Everyone knows that if you leave it out, it's going to probably get stolen. In fact, there's a legal terminology that has been used to go after people who do these types of things, it's called an "attractive nuisance."

You don't get to create a situation that a reaosnable person knew would lead to theft and then act like you're not in the wrong. Same with shitty drivers, you tailgate someone and they slow down to stop to make a turn, you run into them, that's on you.

In Firefox, on Linux, behind a VPN and firewall with ad blocker, I run 5 different privacy/ad blocking extensions. I keep hearing about adds, but not seeing them.

Supposedly Youtube now is getting more agressive on this? I wouldn't know. Haven't seen a Youtube notice about it yet.

But really, I dream of the day youtube is replaced by something else. Fracture Youtube into 1,000 pieces and scatter it into the wind.
