I've never heard someone point out exactly what decisions were from EA leadership. Do you have a source where I can do more reading? Bioware was my favorite studio before EA bought them.

This is the funniest thing. It didn't go through Valve's lawyers. There was no DMCA takedown. They asked Nintendo if they were comfortable with Dolphin being up, Nintendo said no and claimed a bunch of legal things but never filed a legal request.

But whatever, dude. I'm done summarizing the blog for you. Obviously you want to act like you know what's going on without doing research and I'm tired of doing it for you.

Nowhere in there does it say it's copyrighted. And, once again, in the blog they point out that you can't copyright a string of numbers and letters, which is all the key is. Additionally, they point out that the key has been freely shared in other contexts for years.

Idk, man. Go read the blog. They consulted with an actual lawyer before making any claim. Unless you'd like to pit your law degree against theirs? Are you a Nintendo lawyer trolling Lemmy on the sly?

No, it doesn't and no, it's not. The blog post from dolphin that I'm assuming this article is parroting articulates that perfectly.

I've got 1,000+ hours in MonHun if you wanna ask any questions!

No worries. I see your concern. In a lot of communities, it's normal to summarize what you're linking to, and emphasize what specifically you think is interesting for discussion. That way your not stealing content and you're jump starting the conversation you want to happen. I wish I could give an example here, but I don't have reddit downloaded so I have no idea what the link is about lol

For real. It's a nsfw post, too. So I can't see it without having the app, which obviously there's a lot of people that don't wanna do that.

Hopefully someone else can elaborate more, but just to start you can only progress the battle pass with a seasonal character, not the eternal ones. Seasons also have new loot drops. I'm also new, so I unfortunately don't know much more.

For most instances the default stance is to federate everything, and defederate as last resort. Defederatipon isn't used just because you disagree with someone's taste in memes. It's used to isolate servers that are doing something you consider unhealthy for your community. A common example is unmoderated hate speech. It's better to defederate the problem server than to expose your own users and risk an exodus. And then if/when the instance fixes the problem that caused the defederation, you can refederate them.

I just got a free copy from Amazon Prime Gaming! I can't wait to try it on the Deck.
