Yes of course I knew there was always a gap, but the last decade or so it feels like its getting bigger and bigger, also because of social media. Same with Truth Social, there probably only "right wingers" there agreeing on each other's opinions without needing a discussion.

Yeah I wholeheartedly agree on that, and I am very happy that there are alternatives like this getting more traction.

As the title suggests, now that more people are moving from Reddit, Twitter, Facebook and whatnot towards platforms on Fediverse and Bluesky, will that not create an even bigger split between political views? Most people who are not afraid of big tech and its influence will probably stay there.

We were already not always able to communicate and discuss certain topics as normal human beings, but now we probably won't even see each other's posts.

What do you think?

The fact that The Fediverse apps are compatible with each other is amazing. This in theory means that one can create your own Fediverse app as long as its compliant to the specifications, right? For example, we could create a LinkedIn clone or something similar?

I recently started learning to play guitar and am addicted to it. Really keeps you in the moment and makes your forget the current state of the world while playing, at least for a bit.

I am personally using and Qobuz and Tidal (because they complement each other in certain genres), but for my kids and wife we have a Spotify family subscription. They like all the crap songs on there, so I will probably have a hard time getting rid of Spotify.

For general maps usage and looking things up, I use OsmAnd Maps. It does have navigation, but it lacks live traffic information. So whenever I have to drive somewhere, I'll use TomTom GO.

Working my way through the first few Resident Evil games. Currently playing the second remake one.

I played the original on PC, but had to use some mods to fix some stuff. Also, the framerate is horrible in certain places. I definitely recommend playing the Remaster unless you need an extra challenge.

Got a few smaller ones from my wishlist: Sword & Sworcery, To The Moon, Antichamber, Her Story, Undertale, Sorcery! 1-4, Reigns, Call of the Sea and Overboard!

Looks like it's on sale.. 20% off. I'm in doubt, not sure if I'm going to use it as much as I think.

Yep I did the same thing, but running a private Invidious instance (frontend for YouTube) with only subscribed to the channels I really want to watch. Result is no more infinite rabbit hole of recommended videos, just the ones I really want to watch.
