In the running for best review I've read, ever...and it's for that casket: "***** My mother, who normally complains about everything, had no complaints and my father said it was the best purchase he ever made." Brilliant execution, layered comedy. Top notch stuff, Peter

If you’ve ever heard someone talk about a beer being skunked, they’re referring to it having gone bad. Happens more easily than you’d think and especially with beer, where the Abv isn’t really high

Think on that one again if you would. He served two terms under the old constitution, the constitutional court ruled that the terms served under the old constitution didn't apply to the new one, then he (attempted to) served two more terms under the new constitution. Like, disagree with that if you want, but saying it was definitely illegitimate is definitely wrong, because the courts definitely ruled that it was legitimate.

I know this isn't what the post is about, but holy moly (the most tradcath holy, of course) the little running Link being a literal link has me chortling

Aside from native proton, being able to do everything (easily) from the controller. It's amazing how often you still need a mouse, or just the windows key, in windows :(

Think home as in a place you live, vs house as in a place where people can live. The landlord owns a bunch of houses, which are themselves other peoples' homes

Oh snap that’s awesome

There is, only on the same network but presumably that’s not going to be an issue?

Excel does always seem to be the thing people can’t substitute, which is weird because it doesn’t seem terribly more complicated than Word (?)

I think this is a difference of use case. I use mine for writing long-form prose, so the dry out times aren't an issue (though I do sometimes slip it into the cap if I'm considering where to go next). The skating is nice because I don't have to put too much pressure on the pen and get hand cramps. I also like refilling the pen once it gets low, but I have a piston filler so that happens less often than with cartridges.

All that said, if I had to use my fountain pen to take notes in school again, I would absolutely hate it. Quick, random note taking is basically a worst case scenario for a fountain pen, so I do see where you're coming from. Glad you're happy with the ballpoints :)

Outer Wilds, like all of it. Falling into the black hole made me actually scream in terror, then shiver for how small being away from the solar system makes you feel. Also the quantum moon, and that ending holy fuck
