The downloads list suddenly won't load anymore. I was going to get the last version before they added the notice to get pro.

Give it time. You get used to it. Eventually, you will probably type more accurately than you did before. A qwerty or any full keyboard like that does not belong on a small screen. :-)

I'm 40 and our teacher explained why cursive was a thing in elementary school. I figured we were learning it so we could sign our name.

Take computers out of the picture. How long have we been using ballpoint pens? Cursive was obsolete even before computers took over how we write.

The only iPhone to be dropped and not get a cracked screen fell out of an airplane!

In case anyone stumbles across this, the problem was that the entity that manages .icu domains received an abuse report and suspended my domain.

This is strange because I only use the domain for personal experimentation and none of that is just for static websites. DNS records for mail are properly configured like all of my other domains.

I asked Namecheap what the reason was. They said none was provided and it may take some time to get a reply back upon requesting the info. I asked them to put in a request for the reason.

My guess is that I was just in a massive list of domains that someone started reporting. or maybe someone was trying to get my domain taken out so they could take it for themself.

Please let me know if there is a better community to post to. This one seems like a good place to start.

I have a very short character ICU domain registered and it was working for months. Without changes to DNS or anything else, it suddenly stopped working. I found out that no DNS records were resolved anymore. It is not that they are invalid. They are non-existant on any DNS servers. According to dnschecker.org's DNS lookup for ALL records, there no records at all. Same with using dig, which just shows an A record with no value.

I use my own nameservers and all of my other domains work fine. I have not changed anything on my end either. Still, I switched to Namecheap's default name servers to see if that would resolve the issue. No change.

I contacted Namecheap few about a month ago. They opened a ticket for me with a High priority. They just a couple times now, saying they are still monitoring the issue but don't have an answer yet.

Is anyone else experiencing something similar? Any ideas what may be going on?

This is not a great article. So many words with so little information. In other articles I found it sounds like Chrome is finally getting third party cookie blocking. Other browsers have had thir for years. Its nothing new.

Instead of scanning with your eyes you need to turn your head with the extra weight of VR on.

And he will do that for you at the low price of only $1. Better do it now before the price goes up.

With Lineage OS, you probably can. It also seems to becoming more logical for common users to wipe and reinstall occasionally. Not that it is easy to do. It just seems like a lot of malware is hitting phones and that is likely to get worse.

That is sad to hear. I live in an area where almost no one wore masks. Even at the hight of the pandemic. Our local pharmacies got a bunch of N95s for free to give away free. There was supposed to be a limit but since no one was using them they would give me a lot of extra. I'm guessing they still have boxes stacked up somewhere.

Its also sad that this could have probably been prevented by using a wet saw with water hooked up. Anyone who has cut stone once without a wet saw walks away knowing they shouldn't have been breathing that.

A friend and I love in depth games but want to include our families, some younger and some not super drawn to scifi or fantasy.

Pandemic has been a great game for us but its nice to have some other options.

Are there any interesting RPG (DnD style) or stategy games that you would suggest?

The name kbin is derived from sbin in Linux (source is a comment by @ernest). Is the logo at all related to sbin? It kind of looks like a forward slash.

I tried searching but turned up nothing. Sorry if this has been answered already.

I don't think many people understand that if they use Lemmy or kbin, they are posting to the fediverse. There are other platforms and will be more to come. Referring to a post on "Lemmy" or "kbin" is like saying you saw a post on your Windows or Mac computer.

We should be referring to it as...

  • I saw it on the fediverse.
  • Hey fediverse users ...
  • A thread on the fediverse...

New terms may emerge but referring to the platform seems weird, almost ignorant.

edit: A better example is email. You wouldn't assume everyone is on Hotmail because that is the email provider you use. You say I'm sendingan eamail, not I'm sending a Hotmail.
