Early in the Trump years didn’t he try to go vaguely lib and then ditched that when trump was embraced wholly by the establishment

At-will employment is the name of the game in the US. I wasn’t fired personally but I found out someone at my workplace was let go and I was caught off guard how immediately it took effect - never even got a chance to say goodbye.
A lib I was talking to after a few pints handwaved that fact away saying “yeah yeah yeah that’s just because they have universal healthcare”
It’s mostly Ikea furniture on the marketplace sites in my area lol

On the pod they brought up that it seems like the protesters’ plan was to appeal to the politicians they thought were sympathetic to them and ask them to do the right thing i.e. just the liberal strategy except a little more chaotic.
As I child I longed to sit quietly in a room with no windows and do mindless repetitive work during the nicest days of the year. Because that is normal for a child.
