"I don't know if you saw this study the other day, but what this study clearly shows, is when people have the ability to come downtown to an office and don't, when they stay home, sitting on their couch with their nasty cat blanket diddling on their laptop ... if they do that for a few months, you become a loser! It's a study. We're not losers, are we?"

Frey attended the College of William & Mary on a track and field scholarship. Graduating with a degree in government, he went on to attend law school at Villanova University. While at Villanova, Frey became a professional distance runner. Competing in marathons across the country, he was a member of Team USA at the 2007 Pan American Games.

I knew this guy had to have a scholastic sports background. This is exactly the type of non-sequitur talk I'd expect from a coach to pump up a team to reach an arbitrary goal.

"Competing", but not winning? Sounds like a loser to me!

It's chodes like this that make me never want to see the inside of an office ever again.

I’ve studied Mayor Frey and he is in fact a loser.

OK, Boomer.

This guy hasn't met someone with no future. We have no shame in admitting we lost and are, therefore, losers. I'll stay home and be happy. And the opinions of others don't actually effect my day-to-day life.

To quote Beck: "I'm a loser, baby."

He's obviously got lots of empty commercial real estate downtown

In the future, at some point, he'll try to work from home. and I hope everyone calls him a loser.

He'll just respond with a "it doesn't count" because he doesn't have a cat blanket.

Id love to hear him scientifically define a loser. Specific metrics with units and shit.

[–] [email protected] 10 points 8 months ago

People like that have nothing but whatever small pathetic position of power they have obtained. They define themselves by their success in the rat race and everybody who doesn't want to participate looks like a loser to them.

The idea of loser is moronic and unscientific enough. I'm fine as long as I am not Hitler or some autocrat, also happy I'm not as idiotic as the person quoted in this article.

Confirmed: I have been a loser for fifteen years.
