I just use lemon concentrate at home. Many people here will balk at it, but some of the brands you can buy here are alright and IMO it's fine for home use if you're just using it for a twist and not something like a Daiquiri.
Cocktails, the libationary art!
A place for conversation about cocktails, ingredients, home mixology, the bar industry or liquor industry, glassware - this is not an exhaustive list. If you think it's in some way related to cocktails it's probably fine.
If you post something you didn't create give credit whenever possible.
Pictures and recipes are encouraged when posting a drink as a standalone post. Example of an ideal drink post:

We love garnishes.
Remember the code of conduct, keep it nice. In terms of cocktails- specific etiquette that might be different from other communities:
Mentioning your blog, insta, website, book or bar is allowed, yes. For now at least, we do allow self-promotion. If it gets out of hand this might change.
A good post with a drink you don't like is still a good post! Try not to conflate the drink and the post or poster. If someone has a relevant title, gorgeous photo and clearly formatted recipe of what you consider a truly terrible drink, a comment is more appropriate than a downvote.
On that topic: Polite critique/reviews of drinks (or posts, images, etc.) is allowed here. Encouraged , even. It's a good tool for improving your drinks and content. Really, just be nice.
Might not be quite the answer you're looking for, but eat more mandarins and flavor your water with lemon and lime.
I always have these 3 citrus in the house because I use them extensively in cooking in lieu of other acids or snacks. I also keep some dried mandarin peel around for use in stir fries, which is wonderful, but admittedly those can't be used for cocktails as readily.
For something like a quick and dirty Old Fashioned I just add a dash or two of orange bitters
Atomizer of extract is exactly what I use. Don't try it with just the oil; it'll clog up your atomizer. Find an extract that only has oil and alcohol as the ingredients. It's 80% as good as a citrus twist for 1% of the work.
Nice! Are there any brands or products you can recommend?
These are the atomizers I bought: https://www.pinabarware.com/products/glass-cocktail-atomizer-6-pack-commercial-bar-pack And the citrus extract brand I bought is Flavorganics, but anything that's just the oil in alcohol can work. Just check the label.
EDIT: You can also use the atomizers for things like absinthe or rose water.
Nice tips, thank you! I will take a look!
