Nazis want to work the disabled at slave wages.
A common misconception is that "the disabled are just happy to work, they don't care about the money". That's bullshit. It's just ableists taking advantage of the disabled.

It depends, my father is disabled and just wanted to feel useful. In the end he was unable to be productive enough for it to be worth the extra time from the colleagues supporting him.
I'd be happy for the government to subsidize the salaries to match an actual minimum wage, but it is unrealistic to expect disabled people to match the efficiency of abled people and compete with them for jobs of an equal salary. They might not be able to find employment very easily then, which really hurts those who wish to participate in society.
That’s fucking disgusting, a minimum of $2.90 an hour. Fuck me sideways.
If they're adjusted down for productivity, what's the standard productivity when everyone's productivity is the same in an ADE? Completely absurd.
We do have the ndis though and as a participant it's completely changed my life...
Only for the disability for me though. I still have to support myself.
Yeah the ndis is not an income as such. It does help with some things though like travel expenses when a support worker can take me and that adds up a little. I'm a dsp recipient as well i don't work as such I'd like to i just can't unfortunately.
This is the best summary I could come up with:
In Australia, however, that principle has been subject to a perverse interpretation: that subminimum wages are considered justified on the basis that “work of equal value” may take a person with disability longer to perform.
She used to work in an ADE – two three-hour days a week in a school canteen, making toasties and serving meals to students and teachers.
Since leaving the ADE, Hume and Simpson have become advocates for other people with intellectual disability, and work as consultants for Speak Out, an advocacy organisation in northern Tasmania, where they are paid full wages.
For larger ADEs, this income from the NDIS can run well into the millions, with evidence heard by the disability royal commission suggesting much of this goes into capital costs.
For those people who have family support, wage parity might not seem as important, but for those who subsist solely on the DSP, the extra pay would make an enormous difference.
Her experience speaks to a broader problem, which McAlpine and Laverty note, of the failure of the public and private sectors to tailor employment and training strategies for people with intellectual disability.
