The only private payment method is cash.

much thanks to @gary_host_laptop for the logo design :)
I was a heavy user of plastic payments, then I found Google wallet to be so convinient and easy to use that I used it for almost all of my cards. Then I realized the privacy implications of using those, so now I've fallen back to use cash: I use my bank cards only on the ATM to withdraw cash, and ocassionally I use my CC on big purchases or online shopping only.
Crypto has never enticed me enough.
Crypto doesn't solve a problem, it prevents a problem from happening ( banking surveillance )
Crypto is the real solution but the volatility introduced by speculating crypto bros, and subsequent lack of transactional use due to hoarding and exploding network cost, ruins the concept.
At the moment I use cash for privacy, Privacy.com cards for recurring automated payments, and a Discover card for everything else.
Waiting on open wallet foundation to finish their frameworks for that...
Cold, hard cash. It's the only truly private monetary transaction you can have.
If you just don't want to go through Google or Apple, there's always a normal bank. But even they keep records and could be selling that info.
Crypto isn't even private. It also keeps records of transactions and unlike a bank, they're public.
As a GrapheneOS user, google wallet doesn't support tap to pay. Would love to see a solution here.
Bank cards. Contactless payments or cash :)
Samsung pay/wallet.
Can you justify this suggestion?
