Piracy is good and you should do more of it. Use https://9anime.to/ and https://4anime.to/ for streaming, and https://nyaa.si/ for torrents. Piracy is the only means of digital protest that audiences have to fight poor worker treatment.
It sure was.
why are you taking about it in past tense
They're switching to being a Plex-style bring your own content app, so you'll need to pirate your own comics and then just put them in a folder. It's becoming just a reader app for cbr or cbz files.
- would be nice if you linked source
- someone could just fork it?

Straight from the horse's mouth. Also, read the original post, Kakao is also going after all forks.
I doubt corporate lawyers are intelligent enough to understand forks can then be hosted on websites other than GitHub tbh. i wouldn't be surprised if a fork emerges when this situation settles, just not on GitHub
They're going to be playing whac-a-mole for sure. IMO, the most likely outcome is that a number of major forks are also toast, new forks in made the next couple of months are likely to get DMCA-ed, and a new successor will emerge later this year that barely resembles Tachiyomi as it is, has a bunch of lame compromises, and will only have a tiny sliver of the userbase or developers that currently exist.
Just like what happened with Vanced, basically.
Revanced is definitely better than OG vanced
I've switched to TachiyomiSY, one of the forks, the group filtering is excellent and wasn't in the baseline version last I checked
I won't truly feel fulfilled in this life until someone posts an angry message like that about one of my alts.
Actually, now that I think of it, getting kicked from /r/Libertarian back in 2016 because I had too much karma from shitposting was in the ballpark.
