This is a very misleading title. Threads is limiting the number of posts that accounts can make per hour. This makes it hard for spambots to spread bad content. This is 101 of Trust and Safety.

Twitter limited the number of posts that each account can read per day. This only protects “Twitter’s data” from web scrapers. It has nothing to do with preventing spam.

It’s very disingenuous to equate the two.

It’s the difference between saying that every voter gets one vote per election and saying that a candidate can only receive a max 50,000 votes unless they bribe the FEC $8.
