Android is terminal capable despite being mobile. Try termux for example.
termux can't run yt-dlp though...
My point was an x86 ccapable device because that's what yt-dlp is compiled it.
I don't know if you can run yt-dlp compiled for ARM even in termux.
You can just install it through python
pkg up
pkg install python
pkg install ffmpeg
python3 -m pip install --upgrade yt-dlp
See what I know.
In that case @OP: Do it that way. (If you can find a way to run a terminal app like termux on iOS.)
Yt dlp shortcut with a-shell was my set up before I moved to android. Just share the link, select the format and quality.

Thanks. I suppose I would prefer if it was an app, but I know there are huge obstacles to get non-monetised apps onto the app store (such as owning an apple computer and paying apple £100 a year)
