I don't know, kind of sounds like they learned something and that's a win.

Sometimes indignation can lead to amazing things, somebody told me in 2000 that I couldn't make a 3D game for the web using 2D software and I felt so challenged and pissed-off I actually programmed a 3D rendering engine using that tool so I could make a virtua tennis style game playable on the web.

A world first out of spite.

Edit: In case anybody cares the tool was Macromedia Director which was a 2D raster authoring tool that you could use to make Shockwave games. And the feature that came out in (I think) patch 6.5 made 2D sprite skewing a thing which enabled me to make this!

Also, they are still dwelling on it after leaving college. I guarantee that it didn't go down like they say and there's either embellishment going on or it's what they wished they would have done, but it never happened

So did she really say you were below her or was that a feeling you get when you meet a confident person and determine this on your own because of feeling self conscious around that?

Her "bio master" as in her Master's thesis? Why would she not have someone in her cohort read it? What happened with her PI? Were they just not checking in on her work at all? How could they get so far into a Master's that she's in the process of writing her thesis that you could find better sources in a week?

Let's be honest, we've all done a lot less productive things back in college.
