Something akin to /r/twoxchromosomes.

EDIT: Best I've seen so far is [email protected]

There are a couple lesbian communities. I havent seen anything like 2x or thegirlsurvivalguide yet though. None show up in the community browser either. Someone should start one.

I'd love to see a twox or trollx sub. I'm on an ecologically themed instance though so idk that I should make that there or not.

Edit: Screw it, I made it https://slrpnk.net/c/twoxchromosomes

Thanks for creating the community.

You might also want to look at !women created by makeitso.

That sub had been created in response to threads that were looking for a community with a more inclusive sounding name that’s not connected with DNA :)

(Full disclosure: I’m not the creator or mod of that sub. I just want to promote it as it (still) has a less recognizable name for folks coming from r/Twox such as myself).

Awesome thanks! I'll be in both :)

There's https://beehaw.org/c/feminism which will probably act as a hub for the time being

[–] [email protected] 7 points 1 year ago (1 children)

beehaw has defederated from 352 other lemmy instances, including two of the largest - lemmy.world and sh.itjust.works

Yeah. It's quite disappointing but not entirely unexpected

Browsing the communities here, I found Witches, and twoxchromosome. twox doesn't have anything yet, but Witches has a few posts.

How do you browse communities btw? Asking for a fren obvs πŸ‘€

Definitely interested in this as well. One thing I miss most about Reddit is how female/lgbt-centric I made my main page.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago

You might like !women πŸ™‚

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago

Yes there is:

!women

The consensus of previous similar threads looking for something akin to r/Twoxchromosomes was to move away from DNA related names to sound more inclusive and welcoming transgender and non-binary folks. πŸ™‚

I don't know of any, but I'd be interested in joining such one.

Not seen any on Lemmy/Fediverse but you could check out ovarit.com

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Unfortunately front page is primarily made up of a transphobic/antiqueer sub right now.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I'd second the suggestion to create something on Lemmy, then. It's supposedly easy enough to create your own community on here.

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) (1 children)

I think I'm pretty comfortable pointing people to [email protected] right now. Probably for the best for it to be on one of the more popular instances.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I thought that in theory it didn't matter what instance a community was on. It seems like that's maybe not the case..?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

It doesn't matter where it is located, a community should be accessible on any instances as long as federation isn't blocked

[–] [email protected] -1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Not super active but a space exists and can be made into what you want https://lemmy.ml/c/twoxchromosomes

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 year ago (1 children)

True, but isn't it a great opportunity to rename the women's interest comm as something that's not trans-exclusive?

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Yes, that was the sentiment of previous threads around this as well.

makeitso has created !women to be and sound more inclusive.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago

Ah, glad to hear it :)
