Antlers fall off and grow back every year, surgery would be unnecessary. This is illogical.

How dare the comic about talking animals be illogical.
Not if the goal is for them to not grow back
In that case, you would want a antler-preventative, not a removal. They would remove on their own.
That is definitely the most unrealistic part of this. And I, for one, am outraged.
Seriously. This setup comes from a lack of understanding that simple fact. 🤷🏼♂️
Perhaps the artist meant to imy the surgery is to remove the roots and permanently stop regrowth of antlers.
