Yeah but I was kinda hoping Lachlan would guide the network a few notches back to the left of where they are. This isn't an indicator of left-ward intentions though.

Possibly, but Turnbull did take over as head of https://murdochroyalcommission.org.au/ after K Rudd stepped down to take whatever diplomatic job it was he took.

So he is probably butthurt for other reasons too

The statement noted Abbott’s service as Australia’s 28th prime minister and stints as leader of the Liberal Party from 2009 to 2015, as well as being an advisor to the UK Board of Trade since 2020.
The Fox Corporation board has eight members with Jacques Nasser and Anne Dias set to step down following the next annual meeting.
