Just curious to see what my fellow lemmings are using. :)

Try to post a link via imgbox or other alts, if you can. :D

I was bored on the flight back from Prague and ran this picture I took through some filters. It's pretty vibe-ish. imgur link

That's a great a photo! What app did you use for the filters?

Thanks! & Sorry for the late response, but I used Samsung photo magic erase to get rid of some people and tour boats, as well as add a "cut out" style filter. Then I used Pixlr to boost the reds and other color curves.

There are many apps that apply AI art filters! I use this one.

I took this picture in Iceland of the black sand beach and with the grey skies, it turned out almost like a black and white photo. Makes for a nice background.

That's an awesome picture! I'd love to go to Iceland one day. Are the beaches too cold to swim?

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago

To be honest, we really didn't mess around with swimming too much. I think you can swim at the beaches in the summer without much problem. The winter it is probably too cold for more than a quick dip polar bear plunge-style.

We did go swimming in between the divide in the continental plates in the run off water from the glacier there. That was amazing! Had to do it in a dry suit as it was freezing cold, but it was really cool and the water was more than crystal clear.

I use default wallpapers, I love how much they define the feel of whatever system I'm using. They also end up causing a lot of nostalgia.

this looks awesome, I wonder how it'd fare if you could change the clock font to an 8 bit style

I actually have a rotating slideshow, and the theme is "fancy aesthetics". What the pictures actually are can be anything from art (digital paintings, anime, furry art, whatever), to photos (whether they be from fashion catalogues or screenshots from movies or whatever). As long as I consider the aesthetics sufficiently fancy.

Here's what was on monitor 1 at the time of screenshotting, and here is monitor 2.

I set it as a "tiled " wallpaper, so no need to make it actually match my screen resolution. I like it simple!

OMG the memories! 😭 Inuyasha, Ranma, all of CLAMP, and Fushigi Yuugi were my favorites growing up.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago

I love Ranma 1/2 and Fushigi Yuugi! I haven't watched/read much Clamp. I did read a little CCS when I was little :)

Right now I’m using this as my lock screen and this as my background on my tablet.

I always use Ghibli landscape images on all my devices, and rotate through them frequently. I pull from a few Imgur galleries: this one for my phone and tablet, and this one for my laptop dual screen setups.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Lol, I use the same pics in your link for my dual screens at work, and set then too rotate. So far no one appears to have any idea what Studio Ghibli is; they just think it's random pretty landscapes.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Only one colleague has ever directly asked me if it was a Ghibli background - and she’s a very cool chick!

I tend have my computer switch between different CGI abstract or spacescape images.
