Shotguns to the face.
Can’t believe there isn’t any gibbing like every Fallout game.
Me too but those shells are hard to get. For some reason it seems that not many shops sell them
Check UC Distribution and gun stores
Anything with a suppressor! Lol, love the 1911s just need a bigger mag. But primary right now swaps between the suppressed 1911 and a suppressed modified maelstrom with short scope, semi auto, and some other mods. The 1911 dps is awesome, but 45 ammo is still a pretty rare drop for me. Buying it every time I see it. The maelstrom is great for when I need more range or just don't want to reload every other second.
The rest of my quickbar changes a lot depending on what I find that's higher damage or dps. Rifles are my go to, but I'm trying to do a lot more stealth play (stealth overhaul mod made it way more fun), so the sneaky pistol shooting really brings back some MGS feel (until I break stealth and just go run and gun which happens almost every time eventually... which is actually exactly how my MGS playthroughs would go too).
Oh and you gotta have a good 40mm grenade launcher too just in case you get really pissed off!
Grendels. I love the P90 look. But.. After level 20 i never found any good Grendels, unfortunately. Whats up with that?
Fittingly, Beowulfs are the weapon I usually find and end up using.
"Advanced" is the way to go. They shred.
Really just look for any "advanced" weapon as it's a higher tier. Hierarchy goes Calibrated, Refined, Advanced, Superior.
Coachman, got it early game and it's lasted me through thick and thin.
Extended Mag Coachman. ;)
guns I love The legendary novalight- it had one inch punch, bashing and something else for perks, with a focussed nozzle for one of the mods. at close range, a shot to the face usually put things down. if not, a smack to the face finished it.
The AA-9 rigged up with a scope for range. Any fast dagger. the v-attack on them takes things down pretty solidly. Especially if you have decent perks. Usually keep one quick-slotted for if the pistol I keep for close range goes out of ammo. It's faster to swap, I think, than to reload. I
the urban eagle is also a solid choice, for much the same reasons as the novalight up top- if it's got decent perks, (none of the procs, save those for things like the grendel.) and you can consistently get headshots, it does it's job well.
weapons I hate: anything with space adept. just saying.
I’ve got a space adept pacifier shotgun that I named “The Boarding Party” and I keep in a chest next to the docking hatch on my ship.
I've been focused on the pistols for now, but there isn't a gun I've found that I don't like. I especially like the Kore Kinetics weapons that fire a huge wall of slugs.
Mining laser and coachman since they're the only ones used for the current any% speedrun route.
pistols, i found a super high damage one like 20 levels ago and its still my most powerful gun and one shots nearly everything
I haven't really fallen in love with any particular gun. I tend to use whatever I have the most ammo for.
I use a suppressed Orion a lot for sniping, partly because I have a lot of rounds for it. Also the Old Earth Hunting Rifle.
For midrange stealth I use a suppressed Drum Beat because I like the drum mag.
Solstice pistol for close suppressed work.
I like shotguns and like the Breach but it doesn't work that well for me, and only 7 rounds is a drag. I tend to use a Magpulse in close-quarters loud.
Also a heavily modified Kodama for close/mid work.
For melee I have a good Wakizashi, but it doesn't work well. Even when an enemy is crawling on the ground wounded it takes several swings to finish them off. Guess I need more points in melee.
