Welcome! You're just in time for beta 18, which fixes a whole host of bugs! If you have any questions let us know. Enjoy your stay!

Welcome!

I'd be interested to know what the trouble joining was, as someone who joined before the rush it was pretty smooth. If I'm promoting the Fediverse to people it would be nice to know what issues there are.

I joined when registrations were open and volume was still low overall. I couldn't sign up on Beehaw or shitjustworks for some reason but was able to get an account here. Since then, lots of instances have put up barriers (captcha, manual approval, etc) to keep the servers running, reduce bots, and to maintain a sense of order and identity. I imagine a lot of users were turned away and turned off during that time.

I've just joined, this is in fact my first message. Signed up via FMHY and done the magic linky thing to get here. Going to take a bit of getting used to how to do that but the sign up process was easy enough. Took about 2 mins for my registration to be approved.

Is there any way the pages can be styled yet, like they could be on reddit?

on mobile or desktop? Were you using normal reddit or old?

On desktop on old Reddit! Not sure if new Reddit could be styled?

Welcome.

Any specific issues joining? Handy to know for troubleshooting other people's problems.
