Still internally screaming about the haircut I got 3 weeks ago, why do you ask 🙃

[–] [email protected] 12 points 2 weeks ago

That haircut for me was 18 years ago. It's all weather and direct sanitized answers now.

Yes, all the time. The fact that people actually want spend time with me is pretty weird if you ask me. I see it in their eyes that I act odd, lol.

You know, there's something truly beautiful about people knowing you're weird and still wanting to spend their time with you.

I have one friend I like to hang out with specifically because of how she's weird.

Someone took the time to edit out the date & time info so you wouldn't know how old this repost is.

On the other hand sometimes I come away from an interaction thinking "Damn, I was on today!" so I've learned to forgive myself for not always being there.

"Enjoy your meal!"

"Thanks, you too!" (Internally: "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!")

Haha, yeah. I maybe blew up my household dynamic in one conversation the other day. Wish me luck everyone 🤞

But that implies I have some good social interactions

Does the day end in a y?

[–] [email protected] 7 points 2 weeks ago

Every. Single. Time. ^.^

[–] [email protected] 7 points 2 weeks ago

That's why I don't enter social situations...

Thinking the next day about something awkward I did/said at a party

Man, I really need to stop drinking before interacting with people, I just wind up putting my foot in my mou-

Suddenly realizing the awkward thing I did/said was before I started drinking and I was stone-cold sober when it happened

...oh. Maybe I should actually insist on drinking before interacting with people...

that is going to be the title to my memoir:

"mmm ... that was not my best work: the /u/TheReturnOfPEB story"

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 weeks ago

For the little things I think this adage is useful: “you can never say the wrong thing to the right person.” Tiny awkwardnesses should just be ignored, we’re all doing our best.

This does not apply in situations where you are being an asshole.

L'esprit de l'escalier

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 weeks ago

I literally just told this to myself coming out of the office since my entertainment suggestion to my colleague fell flat.

I uttered to myself: "Well, next time, refrain".
