Resist: It's Time

We are still in this together, but "this" is going to be real different in the very near future. This demands a different kind of "we."

The French Resistance during Nazi occupation played important roles delivering downed Allied airmen back to safety, supplying military intelligence, and acts of sabotage.

The Underground Railroad is estimated to have brought 100,000 freedom seekers to safety between 1810 and 1850.

It's time.

The Republican Office of New Mexico's headquarters in Albuquerque was intentionally set on fire in an act of arson.

If you know something about how this happened, no you don't.

Everyones thinking this was a cool vigilante act, im thinking it was a random act of documents going bye-bye.

All I know is that they did it themselves.

They do love to talk about false flags at every opportunity.

Man, it's crazy what folks will get up to when they're spring cleaning their HQ.

Kinda bold of them to admit up front that ice is the same as the klan. Never would have thought a group of republicans would just put it out there like that.

What a terrible thing. I do hope this doesn't start happening regularly, every few days.

The windows of my local county Democrat office get shot out or have bricks thrown through them seemingly every other week by local MAGAs.

If that's how they're going to behave I don't really see the issue with returning the favor. I'm sick of this "take the high road" bullshit, it's getting us nowhere.

"Take the road that reaches your destination."

[–] [email protected] 16 points 5 days ago

Would be a damn shame, that.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 5 days ago

That would be absolutely awful. Please, anyone reading this that's thinking about it, please don't. We are super cereal rn.

Spontaneous combustion is a common symptom of racism.

I was having a bad day after my shower door exploded while cleaning it, cutting up my hand while cleaning it up, and somehow getting electrocuted when plugging in my laptop but this....makes up for all of that.

[–] [email protected] 18 points 5 days ago (3 children)

You were electrocuted? Did your ghost type this?

[–] [email protected] 10 points 5 days ago (1 children)

OK, Prescriptivist:

To inflict a severe electric shock, not necessarily fatally.

Surly this isn't the first time you've experienced this usage?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 5 days ago

No, other people are wrong, too.

[–] [email protected] 12 points 5 days ago

Um zapped? Shocked?

Oh yeah, I forgot that was like drowned. Had a coworked ask me if another coworker that drowned was OK? Nah dude, he's dead, it wasn't a near drowning.

I really hate glass shower doors

[–] [email protected] 28 points 5 days ago

Red or green? Yes.

Several Walter White quotes come to mind:

"Stay out of my territory," or "let's cook," or "I am the danger" all fit.

I’m the one who knocks!

The spray paint seems to be a stencil. Hope they get much use out of it!

[–] [email protected] 4 points 5 days ago

I'm actually surprised this doesn't happen more often, but then again, like another person said, it's way more likely they did it themselves and made up the story, it's become a useful tactic for Republicans.

Finally some good news.
