Personally I don't care for kits, but this is one of the few kits I absolutely adore.

This one from Atletico Mineiro is just beautiful: https://www.soccerbible.com/media/128459/best-2-min.jpg

Newer and not so much underrated, but as a child of the 70s this retro third kit from LAFC was tailor made for me: https://www.adidas.com/us/2024-los-angeles-fc-adidas-archive-authentic-jersey/JX7966.html

That Atletico Mineiro kit is a work of art. I think you win this one.

The reason why it is so beautiful is because it was from a fan submission contest and not the product of corporate focus group copy paste design divisions. More clubs should do that.

Oh yeah, I remember that. It really is stunning. And it's nice to see the popular vote going for something beautiful and sincere for once. Could just as easily have been Shirty McShirtface.

God, that's a great question and I'm going to have to go down a rabbit hole for this one. I know Venezia has had some bangers over the years. I was also very partial to the gold-and-black Ajax kit of a few years ago.

If we're doing honorable mentions I think Peru 2018 has to be up there, especially the third kit.

Oh yeah thats good!

I remember loving this one from Fulham back in the day: https://shop.fulhamfc.com/retro/retro/retro/4000_copa-2003-05-retro-home-football-shirt.html

And I have a fondness for quarters like this one from Sheffield FC: https://shop.sheffieldfc.com/product/sheffield-fc-home-shirt-2024-25-354

I love the Nottingham Forest away kit: https://shop.nottinghamforest.co.uk/products/nffc-away-shirt-24-25

And while I am here, a shout-out to my local team Wellington Phoenix: https://wellingtonphoenixhub.com/cdn/shop/files/Home_Jsy_2.jpg?v=1727813509&width=550 incorporating traditional Māori designs into the kit. Chef's kiss

Difficult to say over all time, but this season, Ulsan's is pretty nice. There's something pinstripe desgins that look really good.

Oh yeah thats good. I think pinstripes often look good

You might like my own team's away strip this season then:

Shame we're absolute dog shite on the pitch... 😁

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 week ago

I like it. Reminded me of the KKR kit from the IPL (cricket)

Oh, very class-

Checks badge

Ah

But actually it's nice. Why the German flag in the neck, though?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Good question. As of the start of the season, Dunfermline were owned by a German consortium, who had been in charge at East End Park for 3 or 4 years.

However, the club was sold just after Christmas, to an American group, led by an English-born former professional poker player. So maybe we'll have ♠️♣️♥️♦️ next season. If we're still in business...

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Did the fans mind the flag? I just feel like it's a little odd - putting their commercial branding on it somewhere would be normal. At the extreme, imagine if it was an English consortium and they stuck an English flag on it? Maybe in this case it's okay because most people don't dislike Germany.

At the time, no I think most were cool with it, they'd added the flag in previous seasons too.

However, the start of the season was dreadful, and relations were souring significantly, to the point where the owners decided to put the club up for sale (announced via a fairly self-pitying and fan-vlaming statement).

You're probably right about what's happen if an England flag were added, though it's not really any different. More concerning is the nature of the new owners, hard to know whether to trust them or not.

Top priority is avoiding relegation through, 7 games to go...
