Check out the newest version of everyone's favorite^[citation needed] command line json processing tool!

Highlights include significant speed improvements (>10x on some of my workloads), new flags, new builtins, and a litany of bugfixes.

The speed ups are definitely understated in the release notes if they are that significant

That's because it was a regression from 1.5 to 1.6 that got fixed.

The 10x speedup is in linking builtins during startup, so it's only really seen for very small inputs.

I get that they're embarrassed to mention it, but it's still worth a bullet in the release notes I reckon
