Oh, it's you! :)
I've added you to the list as a point of contact for the dbzer0 instance.
Ooooh, point of contact? What's the post URL?
Oh, just this post, nothing fancy.
If a Redditor has questions or signup issues with the dbzer0 instance, someone can tag u/No_Measurement_6680 and/or u/Dbzer0 to provide assistance.
Oh, i didn't notice that lol.
Fyi this account is a burner but if it doesn't get banned, i'll keep it as a main i guess.
(Boy, i forgot how hard redditors are to deal with...)
- lemmynsfw.com - there's [email protected] but only mods can create posts. I couldn't find any direct equivalent to a support comm.
- lemmygrad.ml - [email protected] ; there's also [email protected] for official content
- lemmy.eco.br - support strictu sensu is done through Matrix, https://matrix.to/#/#lemmyecobr:matrix.org . But there's also [email protected] to talk about the server.
This honestly show be integrated as part of all UIs. A button to send you to a help forum, preferably one that does not require the user to understand what federation is.
The people who are going to see this list know what they are doing and can navigate the Threadiverse.

Do any of you (or other admins) have a Reddit account you would be willing to reveal here? I’ve come across many Redditors who are interested in Lemmy but give up after experiencing issues on signup. I think the ability to have instance admins reach out to users on Reddit directly could be a useful tool in reducing the friction of the Lemmy onboarding process.
Also, could we consider adding a direct link to [email protected] in our sidebar? (In addition to the links to the "Getting Started" guide and Lemmy Support)
That's a good idea. I added [email protected] to the instance sidebar. I also added a clearer link to our instance's Matrix chat.
Nice!
I don't have a working reddit account anymore, but if you find someone that needs help with setting up an account, either direct them to the matrix room or maybe be kind of an ambassador for them in the matrix room?
I realize matrix isn't the easiest or most convenient and we'll discuss alternatives.
Yes, asking people to register on Matrix so that they can register on Lemmy will probably have high drop out rates
Yea I know, if they're having trouble signing up on lemmy, shoving them into matrix isn't gonna work.
Yeah, I think the fraction of Redditors (even among those who are interested in Lemmy) who already use Matrix is pretty small. Asking them to sign up for yet another service to debug Lemmy issues will turn people away.
Fortunately, kersploosh has volunteered to be an ambassador for sh.itjust.works on Reddit.
Yea, it'd also make sense to have an easier channel of communication regardless of reddit.
Do you have a support email address shared between the admins? Lemmy.ca have one, and include it in the sidebar of their instance.

Altho I didn't see anyone complain about Mbin having troubles with registration, my instance's meta community is [email protected] . It's the biggest Mbin instance

We have the [email protected] email that can be used for signup issues.
While we do have accounts, I don't think they're monitored actively. It's probably best to list the email address. We all can see those emails, and we've been able to help a number of new users that way already. Often we can match the email address to the account and resolve it within our initial reply
Also thank you for putting this together! It's very helpful

Sounds like a great system!
Also thank you for putting this together!
You're welcome! From one Canadian Lemmy instance to another, thank you for all the work you do!
@[email protected] Do you think we might consider pinning this post? I will do my best to keep it up to date.
