You're always gonna have problems lifting a body in one piece. Apparently the best thing to do is cut up a corpse into six pieces and pile it all together. And when you got your six pieces, you gotta get rid of them, because it's no good leaving it in the deep freeze for your mum to discover, now is it? Then I hear the best thing to do is feed them to pigs. You got to starve the pigs for a few days, then the sight of a chopped-up body will look like curry to a pisshead. You gotta shave the heads of your victims, and pull the teeth out for the sake of the piggies' digestion. You could do this afterwards, of course, but you don't want to go sievin' through pig shit, now do you? They will go through bone like butter. You need at least sixteen pigs to finish the job in one sitting, so be wary of any man who keeps a pig farm. They will go through a body that weighs 200 pounds in about eight minutes. That means that a single pig can consume two pounds of uncooked flesh every minute. Hence the expression, "as greedy as a pig".

It's from a movie called Snatch.

Snatch was released in 2000, Pickton was arrested in 2002

Its been a dark joke in my area for 30+ years, and I'm unaware of it actually happening here.

Basically the punchline is that pigs make the best witnesses, they can't speak and they eat all the evidence.

He only received second degree murder conviction. What the hell Canada? What would it take to get a first degree conviction?

Morbid: A True Crime Podcast did a deep dive into him. It was like 3 episodes long. It was well done.

The cops seriously dropped the ball on this. The owner of the property Robert lived on was a popular party spot and it was an open secret that he was doing sketchy shit. So much evidence got destroyed or lost before the police finally bothered to do something. I highly recommend the Last Podcast episodes on it.

You're right. We should look to the US which obviously has all their shit together.

The Crown reported that Pickton told the officer that he wanted to kill another woman to make it an even fifty, and that he was caught because he was "sloppy".

He will be up for parole in a few more years. Hopefully they recognize that he is at high risk of killing another woman if they let him out.

There is zero chance he gets out.

Found this documentary about it. Not a very high score, any others?
