Traded for Brittney Griner and a future 1st round pick
Never heard of this. Love the entry!
Dapat kasi higpitan pa nila lalo yung anti-scalping measures. Tipong kung bibili ka ng multiple tickets dapat yung names ng each additional ticket holder need mo na ilagay when purchasing and it should match the name of each claimant sa venue. Para hindi mo ma-resell.
Yun nga lang, may gana ba yung nagchecheck sa venue or basta na lang pinapapasok basta may ticket? That's the likely scenario actually, which would make any countermeasure moot.
This does sound like a suicide attempt. I think a lot of people attribute being hogtied to the presence of an attacker when those who commit suicide are known to tie themselves so that they won't be able to back out.
I thought he was going to be an inutile president at best, but he's alright so far. Parang P-Noy days lang wherein you can generally ride out the term peacefully, save for a few hiccups. Duterte era lang talaga yung so bad you have your butt cheeks clenched every day. Of course andyan pa rin yung mga hihirit na gusto daw "isanitize" yung memories ng Marcoses (as if naman what BBM does isn't independent of his father's transgressions) or calm before the storm daw, lmao.
Then again, I'm not one to lionize politicians. I give them props if they do something good and chastise them if there's anything bad, and I don't care what the name on the plaque says. That's why it's much easier for me to objectively look at Robin Padilla (who says a lot of stupid shit that doesn't endear him to an already hostile crowd) instead of saying intellectually dishonest sweeping statements like "WaLa NaMaN SiLbi" which isn't true at all. I like that JV Ejercito is willing to look at small scale nuclear reactors for alternative energy while Risa Hontiveros (who usually isn't wrong) gets a thumbs down from me for not even looking at the proposal and going "hurr durr meltdown bataan". Villar is correct that we should be putting as much attention to the ASF outbreak as the Guo circus.
"Preacher" is putting it lightly, haha.
Nope. I don't go to concerts. Well, isa pa lang sinadya ko (Explosions in the Sky) and the rest free sa mall (Cobra Starship, Twenty One Pilots, Walk The Moon). I prefer kasi to just stand/sit there and soak it all in, and that's seen as a no-no in concerts wherein they expect you to drown out the performer by singing along and behaving like you have ADHD. Plus I hate crowds.
as for the demographic I think gen z would be a prime target cause she’s young relatable
Yeah makes sense kasi she's young and entertaining, but musically jazz isn't something kids would appreciate. I can't even think of a modern interpretation of jazz na hindi niche. I remember 20 years ago, the closest comparison I could make to Laufey was Mika Nakashima and she wasn't exactly a household name.
Trivia: This makes an appearance on an episode of Succession, right down to the towel covering practice. That's how I found out about it to begin with.
Me!! Nagulat ako natuloy yung concert. Nagulat din ako sa mga fans na nagpunta (based sa pics). Wasn't expecting younger gen-Zs or alphas to be the demographic of that style of music.
On a related note, ang ganda ng what constitutes as pop music today. It's heavily influenced by 90s alternative rock and 2000s dreampop which were my jam growing up. Olivia Rodrigo, Maisie Peters, Lyn Lapid, mxmtoon, Girl in Red, beabadoobee, and so on. A far cry sa pop nung panahon ko that I still can't get into... yung mga Britney Spears and all that crap.
I've been recording since the 90s, so I don't think anyone inspired me to do what would later be defined as "archiving". The idea of digitizing and posting on the internet however, I credit to a guy named "fiscaplyder". He would share old commercials as early as 2003 in PinoyExchange, and you can clearly see a lot of his uploads being reposted as well as a bevy of impersonators. This inspired me start my own channels like this one from 2006 and then another called Marikinadono in 2007 which has since been shut down after I got busy and forgot about it entirely.
Then more than a decade later during the pandemic, I decided to open UndustFixation intending to do commentary on batang 90s antiques and old clips. The channel name is a play on the term "unjust vexation" with "Undust" obviously about uncovering and dusting anything old and dirty while "Fixation" comes from being "fixated" about something.
Those plans fell on the side for a couple of years until I revisited it in late 2023 after a few days in the hospital led to me discovering BuKo Channel. I was like a kid on a candy store seeing episodes of shows that I used to watch or never fully appreciated as a child. I realized, hey, I have tons of this shit just sitting at home. Kind of a waste to let it rot away. The rest was history!
I'm not in this for personal glory. I don't even use my real name! When people say thanks, they say UndustFixation or Undust and not the person/pseudonym behind it. Those who personally know me are well aware of my anxiety with attention and getting praise. When I make donations, I do it anonymously. When I helped ship a week supply of food to former coworkers during the height of the lockdowns, I did it without making any social media posts or informing anyone (not even the wife at least a year later) about those efforts. Of course, I kind of went against what I'm saying by posting here — but it had to be said just to underscore my point. Because this idea that I'm some famewhore that demands credit is just patently false.
I'm also not in the hobby out of some phony platitude about saving the industry or anything like that. Most probably are (and kudos to them for that), but not me. I'm into archiving because I want to be able to enjoy what I used to see (or missed) at my own pace. That's it, plain and simple.
Uploading it is optional and secondary, as I want others to chime in on what they think or know about the clips. I am not obligated to provide the community with non-watermarked videos and no one is forcing them to watch. I don't care if your viewing experience is ruined. If it's too bothersome, no one is stopping you from going out there and doing your own archiving. In fact, you'd be doing the community a huge service by dipping your toes in instead of whinging.
Maybe "archivist" or "preservationist" is not the right label for me, and you probably should stop referring to me as one to avoid setting the wrong expectations. I guess, curator??
