I work for a church. Internally, the staff refer to the December 23rd service as "Christmas Adam" because Adam came before Eve. They think it's hilarious... and I put up with it.

What about christmas Lilith?

[–] zero_spelled_with_an_ecks 5 points 6 hours ago

They got rid of it. Some even claim Christmas Lilith never existed in the first place.

As we all know, the proper term for it is Christmas Christmas Eve

I feel personally attacked

[–] [email protected] 14 points 11 hours ago

We did Chistmas Eve Eve, because my wife has to get up at 5:30 AM on Christmas eve and work until noon before we drive 120 miles to see famlly...

Or as we call it in Norwegian:

  • Teensy tiny Christmas Eve
  • Little Christmas Eve
  • Christmas Eve. Or just Christmas!
  • The first Christmas-day, or recovery day

In Finnish we just legit have a word for eve's eve (aatonaatto), although it's usually only used at Christmas.

[–] [email protected] 10 points 11 hours ago (1 children)
