I have a Samsung watch 6. But I dunno... I'm feeling like I wanna worry less about charging devices recently. And this Casio F 105 W looks great and was cheap.

In love with Garmin watches. Yes they are smart, but beside that I love all the data they collect during my sport activities (a bit of a data nerd I am), the battery that last 7 days with daily sport tracking, and the amazing display....

Get one with MIPS display, not AMOLED...

Should have gotten a watch with a calculator smh. Now that made you cool.

Hell, my G-Shock watch still works. Never understood why someone would spend thousands on a watch just to have it accidentally broken, smashed, lost, stolen....

I like my 30.00 watch I bought 30 years ago. It tells time and lights up. What else you need?

LOVE! I've got 4 or 5 Casios and my wife has at least 2. (Or cash-yo according to my Philippine wife.)

Just got this one for the tide and moon:

$20 on eBay!

Do you need to indicate where in the world you are to make the tides accurate? I guess I don't know enough about how tides work.

Maybe its the boomer in me but I just can't see any major benefits of having a smart watch. I'm not saying there aren't any but to some degree I feel as though my smart phone is more than enough tech I need with me day to day

They are absolutely amazing for tracking and staying motivated with doing workouts. Beyond that imo there's not much on there that is all that groundbreaking. I enjoy my smartwatch for all its bells and whistles, but I wouldn't have purchased it if I wasn't trying to get myself into running.

Having your credit card there is very convenient.

The only non-watch thing I want from my smartwatch is to replace my phone's ringer. I get notifications as a vibration on my wrist instead of a sound.

I dream of having a watch that just does that without all the body-tracking mumbo jumbo. I dont need to know my blood's oxygen level, and I certainly dont want my watch to have GPS capabilities.

Edit: I need to specify that I've only owned Chinese watches/smartbands with more than 20 days battery life. Having to charge a watch every day sounds ludicrous to me.

The only positive they offer is workout tracking. In a case like that, you get something cheap that’s specifically made for workouts (like a Fitbit).

GenX here. I've had 2 and just never really used them. And I have 16 other watches and never wear the smart one!

Another reason for buying it... I miss the 90s and late 80s look more and more (despite being a Latino kid during those years so I didn't grew up with the cool pop culture you Americans imagine).

Also yeah, I saw some scenes from Drive (2011) a few days ago, the synth vibe 80s infected me I guess, like there's something inside me, it's hard to explain.

Nice that it has ‘Water Resist’ emblazoned on the front in large font in case you forget

Nice. I just picked up a timeless F91W. 7 year battery life? Hell yeah, sign me up.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 11 hours ago

NGL I like the look of the 91 more but this one has a better backlight.

I'm feeling like I wanna worry less about charging devices recently

I do not know how much that watch lasts, but the Mi Band 6 that I had since years ago lasted to me up to 10 days (currently is half that), and that was good enough for me 😬

7 years apparently.

I got a CA-53 recently myself, for much the same reason.

Nobody ever said anything about my Apple Watch, but holy crap does everyone love a calculator watch.

(Which is hilarious because as a kid, I was teased as a nerd for having such a thing.)

I just got a CA-53 myself today! I remember having one when I was in middle school and thinking it was the coolest thing ever. I just smile every time I look at it.

It'll last forever! Remember having one of these waaay back... Don't remember what happened to it, but rest assured, it didn't die before I lost it 😆
