Writing style aside. It's concise and doesn't preach. It's a statement of admission and motivation. Nothing else.

Much punchier. More direct. Adverbs are fine in moderation but this was way too many.
He did a fine job for not being a writer or even really attempting to be one. Sure it could have been better but it was more than good enough.

Honestly, based on the class average for "political killing manifestos" it's at least a passing grade.
It's not an A, obviously, but met expectations and was clear in message, solid B- imo.
If there isn't already an SMBC comic where an English professor supervillain threatens to blow up the Earth for the sole purpose of showing the public what a well written manifesto looks like then there should be

This is the “lengthy manifesto?” I see no rambling, conspiracy theories, or even much editorializing. It’d fit on a standard index card. Most of this is a courtesy note to law enforcement. Sure it counts as a manifesto, but lengthy?
ACAB instincts aside, it's almost charmingly naive that he thinks saying "it was all simple and I acted alone" is going to save anyone any effort, especially the people about to interrogate him for 72 hours straight.
