That's one of the reasons i left there too. I was part of several subreddits for The Sims, and there was a lot of racism going on that would lead to the most braindead, tone-deaf and annoying "arguments" ever when called out, their ability to play devil's advocate for the most obviously racist shit was exhausting.
Obviously there was more stuff going on but this legit drove me insane, and since they were pretty much my "main" communities there i just ended up leaving.
Wow, that must've sucked so hard. Most of the animosity I've been getting were in really odd places. It's not even just Reddit. I remember seeing racist comments on a Barbie video.. It was sad and weird.
Yeah, it was draining tbh. And i get what you mean, that's why i try to avoid reading comments when i watch reels, it's so rampant and out of pocket in there 😷

Are there any poc subs that you can ask that question instead?
There might be a couple, I wish I started with that before sharing the post. I do feel like their reactions to my question was an overreaction and then I solidified that by overreacting to the overreaction. 😆
Yeah it happens. There's a reason a lot of people left reddit and came to sites like this. It just isn't the same site we used to use. Another thought I had was maybe to ask here or in one of the generic ask or chat communities. Who knows? Maybe you'll get lucky.
