Looking forward to the movie.
How long did it take ?
This was done a long time ago, but even if you'd asked me then it would be hard to put a number on it. I was freshly learning how to make simple models, texture them, and work all the Blender widgets. Today, this would take me no time at all aside from letting it render.
I like that this follows the age old tradition in VFX of "keep it far away, in the dark, and out of focus" to achieve maximum realism. :D You're learning from the experts, friend.
