Notre Dame vs. Navy
NBC
College Football
I'm gonna say it... I don't much like the new clock rules
Don't remember hearing about them. Care to enlighten me?
- First downs don't stop the clock except the last two minutes of the 2nd and 4th Q.
- Can't call consecutive timeouts.
- 1st and 3rd Q can end on penalties, they are applied at the start of the next quarter.
I think the first one is really only going to make a big difference, but they want to reduce the number of plays in a game.
Enshittification makes it cfb
JSU and UTEP just saw pt 2 come into pay
College used to stop the game clock on first downs
That's simultaneously DPI and OPI on 89 for Navy! Gotta call that, ref!
Looks like a lovely day for football
Very surprised that Sam is still in there
Let's see some Angeli
Welp I guess that's why he's still in
Alright, I think I've got my sicko fill for the early window. Gonna get some other stuff done until maybe the Hawaii-Vandy game.

I know the DB got there a beat early on that incompletion, but I'm 100% fine with that as a no call on an underthrown ball. Defenders should be entitled to some reasonable amount of inertia along their existing vector. Nothing feels cheaper than a "let him run into me" DPI call.
Not that it's gonna matter in this game, LOL.
Let the boys play is just a general rule of thumb for me. Unless that contact is egregious and obviously impacted the outcome of the play I think the no call is good.
Week 0 and absolute ass tackling, name a more iconic duo
Academies absolutely cannot play undisciplined, but I guess it didn't matter.
Go Irish!
Hartman is good. Navy isn't an FCS team, this is exciting, 5/5 touchdown drives my goodness
I'm going to give it at least the entire first quarter to see if Navy has anything up their sleeves, but this may be more of a ceremonial start of the season for me.
Yeah I was really hoping Navy would look ready and nd would look shaky. Not sure that's what we're getting
Boooooo we're happy ND is rolling
To be clear I don't necessarily pull against nd, just for tight games if they don't involve Tenn, bama or fl
I assume Jac Collinsworth is on some kind of registry that precludes him from international travel.
I’m a sign, not a cop.
But honestly y’all can do whatever, I’m not a mod
THEY AIN'T GOT NO MODS, PAAAAWWWWWWLLL!
JSU vs UTEP
CBS
UTEP has, umm, a lot to work on.
Any of you sickos watching this one?
Good luck friend ND fan only
Congrats on the solid season open
I've been an ND fan since Tyrone Willingham, I have no expectations beyond enjoying watching the lads so thanks
Hell Yeah Go Cocks
I'm sensing a pattern here
Just tuned in since the lightning delay at Vandy has them showing a Kirby circle jerk. How is that dude somehow so much more self-absorbed than Nick Fuckin' Saban?
I've always been fond of UTEP, but JSU looks like the more entertaining team. Fun Belt is turned it up a notch the past few years, building a geographically coherent conference of schools that are not really big time, but are kind of in traditional college towns or smaller cities where people will care about them.
oof, definite fumble on the production there cbs
The audacity to claim the rule changes are for safety and not ultimately driven by corporate america slithering its tentacles into the sport is disgusting.
This should have been the opening game. Way more entertaining than ND vs Navy.
The theme still fuckin slaps yo
PUNT OF THE SEASON ALERT
NMST vs UMASS
ESPN
Another solid 1st qtr punt. Not quite as good as jsu utep.
Say what you will about Umass, apparently they have a legit punter
Hawaii at Vandy in lightning delay
Edit: the game will start 1h15m after they get the all clear from lightning. We might have a late one here
You enjoying watching Marty and McGee see how far they can shove their heads up Kirby's ass?
Hell no
North Alabama and Mercer are in the 4th quarter
wtf kinda camera view is this?
edit; lmao I will donate money to a cause if one of the kickers hits that camera, I could hear it on that point after
