A community for discussing what is widely dubbed classical music, which is put simply, compositions for orchestral instruments, as well as historical music on more traditional instruments.

Suitable examples:

Sumer is icumen in, a 13th century choral composition from Medieval England
Koto Music (album) by Kimio Eto (1959)
Symphony no. 2: Mysterious Mountain by Alan Hovhaness (1955)

Unsuitable:

Nightswimming by R.E.M.

Film soundtracks will be allowed for now. However, it would be best to create another community for such posts.

the two on the left are a sort of bassoon precursor (dulcian), the two on the right are racketts.
