And by mobile only they also mean Android only. Apparently iOS doesn’t have a client currently.

Personally, I don't this will have much success because titok is driven by algorithms and influencers...it's built for lazy scrolling consumers that follow the latest trends. People that use it don't care about the data privacy or ethics of it, they just want to know what the latest song or dance craze is ... Add to that ease of use to add graphics and music tracks. Also reach is everything.
I don't think we have to expect that it will have the same success as tiktok , but a strong alternative. Sometimes I just want to consume , and there is pixelfed and probably loops a good alternative, because its not full of influencers, ads, and so on. Just like YouTube once just was people making vids, the good old times.
I don't have an opinion either way on this but can we not act like corporate for profit social networks haven't thunderously dropped the ball on this kind of thing lol

Just signed up about 2 minutes ago and havent gotten my email. I'm a patient man, but even I have my limits.

It's a slow rollout. Dansup is doing his best to put a good foot forward, there's a lot of moving parts, and it's fairly more complicated than some of his prior work. I'm super stoked for it, and can't wait to put together a detailed review.
Yes really a slow rollout, but that's only because of his teasing. If he just made the countdowns now, then it would feel much faster and real 😀
